Cold Formed Components
Sophisticated manufacturing capabilities provid
ing cold formed components in sizes from 1.27mm up to 40mm (.050" to 1-1/2") in diameter to meet the specific needs of your application. With expertise in various materials, we can manufacture a broad range of unique shapes for all manufacturing industries.

Manufacturers in a variety of industries utilize cold formed components to meet the critical demands of their applications.  They recognize that only cold forming offers so many advantages over other methods, including:

  1. Unique and diverse shapes
  2. Lowers scrap rates
  3. High production rates
  4. Reduces needed secondary operations
  5. Large head to shank ratios
  6. Improved strength and reliability (uninterrupted grain flow)
  7. Form parts to a "net" or "near-net" shape
  8. Improved surface finish

Size Ranges

  • Diameters: .059" to 1-1/2" (1.27mm to 40mm)
  • Lengths: 14" (355mm) under the head with diameters to 1-1/2" (40mm)
17" (432mm) under the head with diameters to 7/8" (22mm)

Shapes

  • Splines: straight-sided or involute forms up to 1-1/2" (40mm) in diameter and 17" in length; flat or fillet root to SAE class of fit; offer improved surface finish
  • Worm gears: roll-formed annular and shallow involute shapes up to 2-1/2" (63mm) in diameter with 8 diametral pitch
  • Sleeves: backward extruded seamless components; offer significant material savings and eliminate drilling
  • Other shapes: flat, oval and non-symmetrical shapes, STRUX staking configuration, gears, nuts, and parts with multiple shapes
