A Weld Nut is considered a specialty nut designed to be welded to another object.
Jet Fitting offers many different styles of Weld Nuts Including:
Round Base Nuts: Threaded Cylinder with a base that is circular for easy welding. We also offer round base weld nuts with projections (bosses) to prevent the nut from warping during high current welding.
Tab Base Nuts: These are designed to be used for spot welding on a flat pieces. We offer Tab Weld Nuts in the following styles:
- Tab Base Nut without Projections
- Tab Weld Nut Muliple Projection (Bosses)
- One Boss Tab Weld Nut
- Thin Target Area
Center Hole Design Weld Nuts with Multiple Ribbed Projections which is a four-sided, internally threaded fatener with rounded edges at the two heads most opposite each other. The threaded hold runs through the center and has a pilot for the entire circumference of the opening which extends above the flat surface of the nut. At opposite ends on the top surface of the nut are two identical rectangular, ribbed protrusions of less height than the pilot. Hex Weld Nuts: A six-sided, internally threaded fastener with rounded projections on the top surface of the corners of the fasteners. The six-projection style has weldable projections at all six corners; the three projection style has weldable projections atop every other corner. The threaded hole runs through the center and has a pilot for the entire circumference of the opening which extends above the top surface of the nut and above the projectins. The remainder of the top surface of the nut is flat.
